Sarah Hardee, CPA
Sarah Hardee is one of the founding partners of PHB. She has worked extensively with local and nationwide businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout the course of her career. While she is active in tax planning for some of the firm’s larger clients, she has particular expertise in financial reporting and auditing standards. She provides peer review services to other CPA firms in the south eastern region. Sarah is also the quality control reviewer for the firm’s higher risk engagements such as audits in accordance with the Single Audit Act and employee benefit plans. All of these experiences and specialized training help her serve clients at the firm. However, Sarah’s main responsibility is the business of running the firm.

Craig Ballentine, CPA, MBA
Craig Ballentine is a founding partner and the Tax Department Principal at Patterson, Hardee & Ballentine, CPAs. He supervises all tax endeavors and is engaged in overall firm administration and planning, with an emphasis on firm development. Craig began his career as an intern in the audit department at PHB and transitioned to the tax department where he has exceled and created great value for the firm and our clients. As a partner, Craig continues to enjoy growing the firm and is very active in the local business community.

Kerry Garner, CPA
Kerry is the Tax Department Principal at PHB. He began his career in 1988 and has particular expertise in small to medium-sized business accounting and taxation financial institution taxation, financial statement presentation and tax compliance, as well as individual taxation. Kerry has been instrumental in helping clients structure deals to buy and sell businesses in the most tax advantageous ways. Kerry is an expert tax planner and preparer, having worked closely throughout his career not only with a wide range of businesses but with the owners, as well. He’s active with the community through business chamber events and volunteering on boards of nonprofit organizations.

Julie Mayer, CPA
Julie Mayer is the Audit Principal at PHB. She joined the firm in January of 2016. She has experience across a wide variety of industries, including governmental entities, healthcare organizations, non-profit organizations and manufacturing entities. All audits and reviews of financial statements go through Julie’s review before issuance because of her expertise in our professional standards, attention to detail and focus on quality. She possesses a unique skill set derived from working both in a large public CPA firm where she began her career and also having managed all accounting and tax components as the Controller of a growing local business. Julie also assists in the oversight of PHB’s CFO Services and enjoys building client relationships that result from understanding their needs and providing the best solution from PHB.

Christy is PHB’s Bookkeeping Department Manager. She has 21 years of experience in her field, and has been with PHB since 2011. Christy oversees the PHB’s bookkeeping staff, is responsible for the review of her staff’s work and always enjoys helping clients run their business more effectively.
Craig is the Senior Tax Advisor at PHB. Craig manages the tax department and has 20+ years of experience in tax preparation, small business consulting, accounting, financial statement presentation.
Kim is the Marketing Director at PHB. She oversees and implements all of the firm’s marketing efforts, including social media, the website, community outreach and event coordination.
Kimberlee is PHB’s office manager. She wears many hats at PHB, as she handles a wide variety of tasks and projects while organizing day-to-day office administration and procedures.
